Chinese New Year Lantern Festival

The Official Sydney Chinese New Year Lantern Festival is the single biggest Chinese community organised event in Australia. Each year more than 200,000 people participate in this key activity of  Chinese Year and Spring Festival celebration in Sydney.


At night beside Darling Harbour, sparkling colorful lights reflected from the lanterns will make the water gorgeous like stars.


All the artisans are from Zigong, Sichuan, China’s cultural capital for the ancient art of lantern-making.
